ON THE ROAD AGAIN

What a month. The first Sunday in September, I loaded my trusty Floridian van with six cartons of books, 2 pieces of luggage, a small box of nibbles and drinks, 2 miscellaneous boxes of cross stitched material for my daughter-in-law, a dress for a wedding gently placed on the bench seat behind me, a borrowed garmin on the dashboard, and my dog-eared Atlas in the passenger seat next to me. I was headed north, destination . . . St. Louis, Missouri and a whirlwind book tour.

My first stop was Huntsville, Alabama to visit two friends, Jackie Timme and Chris Nevels. The three of us had worked in the same building in St. Louis and now I was prepared to spend quality time with old friends. The short visit passed quickly.

Two days later, I was back on the road, my van hugging the pavement as the miles slipped by. Next stop . . .Glen Carbon, Illinois to visit our daughter, Dana Clemons and her family. Warm hugs and beautiful smiles greeted me making all those tiring hours and hundreds of miles worthwhile.

The tour schedule was intense that first week and extremely busy as I visited with friends, Bev and Bob Joseph, the Metro Bible Study group in Glen Carbon, Mary Ackerman (a dear high school friend), Peggy Ludde and Marilyn Burgoon, and Frank and Irma Ramsey. The weekend ended with me driving into St. Louis, Missouri and heading for a book signing at Ms. Aimee B’s Tea House in St. Charles.

Come visit with me again as I take on the rest of this whirlwind book tour filled with friends, family, and interesting places. You don’t want to miss the tea house experience.

Nothing like a road trip where you can visit friends and family, sell books, and choose whatever radio station you want.

Have a great book tour!

"On the road, again..." Hey, Gwyn isn't that the title of a song? Your trip sounds exciting, but don't exhaust yourself. Save energy for all the books you're gonna need to promote.

A publisher always loves to meet their authors in person. I was delighted to meet Gwyn. What a dynamic lady! I am proud to have published Gwyns terrific book.
