Went to Canada and Didn't Wanta

My writing partner and traveling companion can always be relied upon to do something different or unusual. Virginia Czaja (writing as Virginia Crane) has an extremely funny sense of humor. I keep telling her to write down some of her family expereiences and strange happenings that cross her path.

While on our June 5-week book tour, one such experience took place. You have to realize that Virginia does the driving on our trips and I have the pleasure of telling her where to go. I man the Atlas, the GPS Garmin, the cooler of food and drinks, the candy to keep our energy up. I also wave to the truck drivers, pick out the different stops for gas/food/hotel or other necessary jobs to keep us on the road. But my most important job is to navigate, a job that Virginia is not extremely good at.

To make a long story short, we decided to visit Niagara Falls, a free day for us on our journey. The day we were leaving, I requested one more trip through the park for pictures. Unable to make it back to the hotel, Virginia left me sitting on the bench and headed to the get the van two blocks away. When twenty minutes went by, I knew she was in trouble, especially since I didn't leave written directions on how to drive to the park bench that I was occupying.

I know you will enjoy reading her rendition of going to Canada and she didn't wanta. She's a hoot. Click on My Canadian Experience and enjoy.

Hi Gwyn,
It's so good to be able to laugh and be around people who enjoy laughter. Life is so much better that way.
