Yes, that's right. A toilet paper dispenser at a restaurant attacked a Michigan woman as she sat...well you know why. It seems that she reached for the toilet paper and her hand was broken when the dispenser fell on her. Now she is suing the restaurant over the injury.
The Michigan Supreme Court is divided as to how to proceed regarding the accident. The liberal side believes a jury should have the deciding say since the dispenser created an unusual harm to the lady. However, the conservative justices state that there is no liability for ordinary accidents like this.
The lady, to make her case, stated that her job was in jeopardy because she could not type as an administrative assistant. And besides that, her bowling average had dropped significantly after being forced to switch hands.
I wonder what the outcome will be. Will a lawyer prosecute the restaurant over a toilet paper dispenser attack? Click on Dispenser Attack and read how much she is asking for. This will probably be one for the record books that people in Michigan will remember for a few years.

Had to take a look at this one. :-)
Maybe in court she'll have to show exactly how she broke her hand. Maybe they'll do a mock, pot setup or sitdown.
Oh my. What'll they sue over next? LOL
That was one HEAVY TP dispenser...or one very clumsy customer...or both?
To Eunice, Heidi, and Arletta,
This was quite a unique article, one that should be in Ripley's Believe It or Not. I find Eunice's humor extremely funny. What a mockup that would be in court. Thanks ladies for visitiing my blog.
I sort of think the restaurant ought to be responsible, just as they would be if a table collapsed on someone eating there. That's assuming she didn't do something out of the ordinary to cause it to fall. But we gotta be realistic about compensation!
